There are many beaches within a radius of 5kms, for all tastes, from the little uncrowded rocky cove ideal for snorkeling to the large sandy beach with turquoise waters, lined with beach restaurants for lunch with friends.
A gray sand beach, very calm and well sheltered. It is used only by the inhabitants of the houses on the hill and little frequented by visitors.
Park in the car park in the shade of the pines on the side of the road and walk down.
A beach with all the facilities: rental of parasols and deckchairs, water games, 2 beach restaurants (paillottes)
Snorkeling at the foot of the rocks, the bottom drops to 4/5 meters, which favors the reception of schools of fish.
There is a car park at the entrance to the beach, which is not very large, given the summer attendance.
Many people park along the road – which is prohibited! and, in the season, the gendarmes sometimes pass and report all the cars parked on the side of the road, even if there are not really other options...
Our recommendation: go there early in the morning for sunrise and calm seas!
A confidential beach, mostly frequented by fishermen. It consists of two coves separated by a rocky point.
Around the rocky point, the beach and the bottom are fairly coarse sand. The further away you go, the more the beach is made up of pebbles.
The most comfortable area is in the southern cove around the rocky block where the ground is more sandy. Note that there is a small underwater cave in the southern part.
The main beach of Solenzara, accessible from a small staircase on the harbor breakwater.
a large sandy beach.
A small beach with soft rocks, which have been carved out by the waves. A shallow area with cavities to explore (little dangerous except in heavy seas).
A large family beach close to all the shops. Rental of paddles, diving club and all water sports.
3 beaches: the cove of Fautea, the beach of the Genoese Tower and the beach of Ovu Santu.
The cove of Fautea, bordered by the road, crystal clear water, fine white sand.
Fautea Genoese tower beach is a magnificent beach, quite busy in summer. You have to park at the parking lot along the road and then take an easy pedestrian path (5 minutes). You can then go up to the Genoese Tower (panoramic viewpoint) or go around the point to the south and arrive at the Ovu Santu beach.
Celebrated by all the guides, these are magnificent beaches that are very popular in summer! Come back in May, June or September to enjoy it or enjoy the morning.
Some of these beaches have paid car parks during the tourist season (notably Palombaggia).
